i bought a year's worth of shampoo bc i'm a mess with no self control

but everything was really cheap so does it count? it doesn't count

quick run-down of the lot: australian organics shampoo for dry damaged hair, bourjois contour clubbing eyeliner in black, clynol kera rebuild renew fortifying shampoo, life nk daily fix facial moisturiser, life nk float away body wash, life nk jump start body wash, naked brunette radiance shampoo, naked silky smooth straight shampoo.

i get a bit over-excited whenever i find shower gel or shampoo that is sulphate free* so ofc i had to get one of everything but i guess that's my fault for going on fragrance direct in the first place, i mean it was never going to end with me being any richer now was it

also got a new black pencil eyeliner cause i go through em at lightning speed, also this one is suuuper pigmented as well as waterproof (which is useful cause i'll cry at anything), and a moisturiser cause it was reduced from £20 to £3.50 and i'm really good at justifying things to myself.

now i have to explain to my dad why it's really important that he carries all of these bottles to my uni room, yikes

*the clynol shampoo actually does contain sls but then also has words like "rebuild" and "fortifying" and if anyone's hair needs fortification it's mine

blogger interview series

got tagged by rach (what a cutie) to do this fun lil interview thing so here goes

HOW DID YOU GET INTO BLOGGING?
i started a beauty blog when i was like 14 and had no idea what i was talking about (u can go and laugh @ it here if u want) and kept it up for two years before i discovered boys and was more interested in them. turns out they aren't that interesting so i'm back for round 2

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A BLOGGER JUST STARTING OUT?
the main thing i learned from coming back to blogging is to not worry about being professional or try and fit into the niche set up that other bloggers have. i got bored of my old blog because i was busy tryna get laid writing in a professional informative style that felt like i was churning out essays, whereas now i'm going for more of the vibe of screaming at a friend over facebook messenger cause you've FINALLY found that opaque liquid liner & that comes a lot more naturally to me (who cares about their post titles being search engine optimised anyways amirite)

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM CAMPAIGN?
don't really get this question tbh - like would it be a political campaign or something to do with beauty??? i feel v strongly about equal rights for women, POC & LGBTQIA so i'd probably do something to help the feminist movement along

DO YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR YOUR BLOG?
just to keep going with it honestly. my personal life is an absolute state and it's very easy for me to lose motivation but i'd love to see this grow into something bigger and better than my old blog was.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT RANKINGS?
going back to not having a professional style, i don't take this seriously enough to care. so long as the trend of followers/readers/pageviews is growing and not shrinking, i'm happy (i do love getting comments though).

i'm gonna tag micky @ princess from jupiter & yige @ yet another makeup blog because they're both honestly on another level ♡

lomography 002

i didn't get very lucky with this set of shots, this was my first time using 120 film and evidently i'm in need of more practice. these were taken on a day trip to london in february of this year on an ilford sporti and a good few of the photos ended up completely underexposed - you can also see my failed attempts at a double exposure and a macro shot at the end there... i'm working on it.

cute films for when ur sad

or a list of my favourite films, bc i only like films that cheer me up. a lot of em are on netflix too.

'70S, '80S & '90S CLASSIC HIGH SCHOOL FLICKS WHERE THE BOY GETS THE GIRL AND EVERYONE IS HAPPY
will either be v helpful or v destructive if you're going through a breakup. play it by ear.

- grease. duh
- the breakfast club. five kids, one representing each stereotypical high school clique, spend detention together.
- pretty in pink. this stars molly ringwald (who played the popular girl in the breakfast club) and is worth watching for duckie. do it 4 duckie
- she's all that. about a popular guy who gets dared to go out with an unpopular girl and ends up falling for her. features a sick-ass dance routine to fatboy slim.

ANYTHING BY WES ANDERSON
partially because he's my favourite director, partially because the plots are always so charming and quirky and don't even get me STARTED on the cinematography oh my god

- favourites include the grand budapest hotel, which got pretty well-recognised, and moonrise kingdom (actually my favourite film), which is about two kids who run away together and honestly it's just aaaah and ooooh (do u get me)

MOVIES WITH HOT GUYS (AND GIRLS)
sometimes you're just completely in it for the visual appeal and that is ok

- mr & mrs smith. angelina jolie and brad pitt, hello
- the great gatsby, inception, the beach or anything else with leonardo dicaprio. except titanic, don't go near that shit if ur sad
 - pirates of the caribbean. jack sparrow is just really cute?? orlando bloom and a weird tentacle man also both feature if ur into that
- just tailor this to have your favourite actors/actresses idk

GIRL POWER
strong female leads where romance isn't the main storyline. we need more of these

- the devil wears prada. or "how to make it in the fashion world featuring meryl streep"
- the lizzie mcguire movie. not even kidding
- legally blonde. (and legally blonde 2)
- easy a. about a high school girl who gets branded as a slut and kinda goes "screw u guys sluts are great i'm gonna own this"
- freaky friday. again, not even kidding.
- clueless. technically this could go in the teen high school flick section but i connected more with how the main character shuns boys for the majority of the film instead of the romance part (fuck boys amirite)

GENERAL FEELGOODS
(these don't fit into the other categories)

- submarine. god i just love richard ayoade as a director
- the second most exotic marigold hotel.
- the perks of being a wallflower. okay that's such a lie, this film actually makes me cry - but not an altogether unhappy cry and sometimes when i'm sad i feel like i need that? idk this was a bad explanation i'm sorry
- anything disney, preferably cartoon
- studio ghibli films, for if you've run out of disney cartoons.

ferris bueller's day off and heathers are on my to-watch list, help me add to this in the comments?
